Week 4- can you believe it!

This week we will work on factors and multiples.

Progress reports come out this week. Don't forget Fair Day on Wednesday. Zap day is Friday - get that work in- then we can all have some fun.

2nd Week 2012/13

Hi everyone! I hope everyone had a fun and restful holiday. This week we continue working on fractions.

2nd Day 2012/13

Yeah! We rolled out the Chromebooks today. Everyone is excited and had a great day. Tomorrow we get down to business. We start work on equivalent fractions.

Many of you may have heard of Khan Academy, if not you need to know about it! If your child does not remember how to solve a math problem- go to khanacademy.org. You will find an amazing library of videos on almost any math topic. Check it out!

This week we are working on multiplying fractions.  Monday we will do MSTAR testing on the computer.  This is just a short online test to give us an idea of our students' progress.  Tuesday will be outdoor classroom.  Remember to pack lunch, sunscreen and water.  Don't forget Friday is early release for Maifest! Have fun!

A reminder

Hi everyone! Don't forget to bring in your paper bags with rewards for next week! The more bags we have, the more fun it will be. :-)

Friday is test day. I hope the band students have fun tomorrow! Band students- Don't forget to complete your review for Friday! Everyone else needs to have their reviews complete for tomorrow so we can beat Miss Stephens class!

First Post

I am hoping this will be a good way to keep everyone up to date.  Next week we are back from spring break and in the home stretch.  We will be learning to find the area of a circle and the volume of 3-D figures.  The review is on Thursday and the test on Friday.  The following week we start 20 Days to STAAR - can you believe it?

FYI: There will be no Math Overtime during 20 Days to STAAR.
